The Romanutti Agency

The Romanutti Agency is casting a staged reading of RODNEYHOOD: A MUSICAL FABLE of NOTTINGHAM, based very loosely on the original Robin Hood folktales.

SYNOPSIS:

Robin Hood and his Band of Merries have been serving Nottingham as appointed protectors of Sherwood Forest. The Band includes Maid Marion, Little John, Friar Tuck, Rodney of Nottingham, and others.

The Law of the Land decrees that the first born son of the Sheriff of Nottingham ascend the throne in the event that there is no royal heir. As bad luck would have it, the King has no heir as the baby princess was kidnapped shortly after birth.

Rodney of Nottingham, son of the Sheriff, has no interest in being King. But his father wants nothing less than for his son to be installed and reign over Nottingham.

However, the search for the kidnapped child came up short and she was never found. It has been speculated that 18 years later she may still be somewhere in England.

It is the day of the festival!

And the search begins...
